Woodbury is a fairly active village in Northeast Irvine. This village was legitimately designed for walking so each neighborhood offers its own park or community square. In addition to this, the village is centered around The Commons, a 30 acre central park and gathering spot that is home to a 9.3 acre recreation center with a clubhouse, multi-purpose rooms, fireplace and barbecue areas, a lagoon pool with “beach” entry, wading pools, two junior olympic swimming pools with a spa, an adult resort pool and spa with cabanas, a children’s water garden, a volleyball court, tennis courts, basketball courts, an expansive village green and a 10 acre community park with baseball diamonds, basketball courts, a soccer field, a 3,000 square foot tot lot, a community building and garden rooms. Catering to the walking vibe of the village is the Jeffrey Open Space Trail, which runs along Woodbury’s western border, connecting the Northern and Southern portions of the Irvine Ranch Conservancy. This not only gives Woodbury residents easy access to the great space at the Irvine Ranch, it also offers a more woodsy, natural walking trail option. The Jeffrey Open Space Trail also intersects the Venta Spur Trail, which runs straight through the middle of the village. This trail runs about a mile and a half through the heart of Irvine and offers residents with another great walking trail option. The final phase of homes in Woodbury, La Cresta, is now selling.
